Our Story

Brian Minter began sharing his passion for plants with Fraser Valley gardeners when he and his wife Faye purchased Country Garden, a garden shop that had been part of Chilliwack’s community since 1957. After 35 years on the original Hope River Road property, in 1994, the Minters moved the business to a much more accommodating 18 acres on Young Road, where it was expanded and became a true destination garden store.

Our Store

It’s never dull around our place! We are so fortunate to have four distinct growing seasons in our area, so there is always something fresh, new and exciting to discover in-store. We’re a garden center first and foremost, so the staples are always here, but from the latest ladies’ fashions to sumptuous holiday décor and giftware, prepare to be wowed by the unexpected too!

Brian is a gardener through and through! His knowledge comes from decades of hands-on experience, researching the latest industry developments and talking with home gardeners locally and from around the world. He loves to learn and share his knowledge with others in writing, on the air and in-person!
