Where passion for plants and community blooms.

Brian Minter began sharing his passion for plants with Fraser Valley gardeners when he and his wife Faye purchased Country Garden, a garden shop that had been part of Chilliwack’s community since 1957.

After 35 years on the original Hope River Road property, in 1994, the Minters moved the business to a much more accommodating 18 acres on Young Road, where it was expanded and the facilities improved to include Dutch glass greenhouses, equipped with the latest temperature, irrigation, and fertilization technologies.

For three generations, our family has nurtured a deep-rooted passion for plants and helping our community grow great gardens.

We work hard to cultivate a legacy that has grown as steadfastly as the plants in our garden center.

The Minter Country Garden centre quickly became a destination for expert and novice gardeners alike and it soon grew to include new departments to provide visitors with intrigue, comfort and convenience.

Today we ‘grow our own’ in 14 greenhouses as well as a Prinz House. Minter Country Garden has become a destination for experienced and novice gardeners alike. We enjoy providing customers with intrigue and inspiration as they work towards their garden goals.
