Minter Country Garden in Chilliwack is a fast-paced, dynamic garden center with the goal of helping our customers succeed in gardening! Our team is full of awesome ‘gardenerds’ who have an exceptional working knowledge of plants and plant products and we aim to inspire and help customers achieve beauty and success in their home gardens. As we grow our team, we look for enthusiastic, self-motivated individuals who offer fantastic customer service, a passion for the ‘green industry’ and a desire to jump in and learn more every day. Please note that all positions require weekend work (at least one day of the weekend) and are physical in nature… we’re up, down, in, out and always on the go!  Roles Available:

  • Retail Cashier and Customer Service: We are seeking an energetic, customer-service and detail-oriented team member to join us! Cashiering and customer service are the main focus of this role but there are many other aspects too, from pricing, re-stocking, plant maintenance etc. Previous retail cashiering and gardening experience are assets. Hours are approximately 20-36 hours per week (or more, depending on the candidate’s availability!) and a minimum of one day of the weekend is required. Attached is additional detail on the role… please take a look! 
  • Greenhouse and Nursery Production Assistance/Deliveries/Light Maintenance: This is a varied role that includes: assisting with greenhouse/plant production, team member and customer assistance in the nursery, loading and unloading trucks, local tree/shrub deliveries, assisting customers with carry outs and more! This is a physical, dynamic role that changes seasonally (heck, even weekly during the busy seasons!), so there is always something new to learn. Previous experience in greenhouse production, deliveries, and Bobcat/forklift are assets. Hours are approximately 32-40 hours per week (hours may fluctuate with the seasons), and one day of the weekend is required. Attached is additional detail on the role… please take a look!
